Amazonite Pendant

This piece of amazonite has a beautiful green colour and was perfect to be showcased alone in a pendant without any other stones. The pendant is no longer than 1-1/2" and is wrapped in silver plated wire with squiggly designs.

Custom Pendant I

I love custom work, so I was delighted to be asked to make a pendant for a friend's girlfriend as an anniversary present. I picked up Tibetan quartz, pyrite and black tourmaline for this pendant; the Tibetan quartz was a good find for me because it had silver intrusions and the pyrite had an interesting angular shape to it. The pendant itself is wrapped in silver plated wire and the chain is a mesh knit chain that has been plated with white gold. I did many different weaving techniques on this one, finishing it with five Swarovski crystals framing the pendant. I think the piece turned out very well and detailed. The pendant size comes to about 2 1/2" in length. ~SOLD~

Chunky Pendant

Amethyst, amazonite and blue zircon Swarovski crystals rock this pendant! Yeah, I went there with the geo joke. The stones are held together with silver wire wrapped and weaved intricately. The colours that best represent the stones is the most bottom right picture. I can imagine wearing this pendant for daytime and nighttime. Two main lessons learned in making this pendant: must have patience (and time) to wrap everything together, and having short arms makes taking pictures of thyself really difficult. 

Prongs

Simple designs will always work well with these big geodes; I decided to do a simple prong setting on this geode because I wanted the geode to be the main focus with its pretty chocolate crystals and swirls. This pendant is something that can be worn everyday. ~SOLD~ 

Labradorite Ring

I made this little number last night. Labradorite is a gorgeous minerals that display labradorescence in the presence of light refracting in the internal crystal structures. This effect can best be seen in pic5 where I show a larger labradorite stone; unfortunately, the bigger stone was too big to be made into a ring. This smaller labradorite stone is a great size and shape for a ring with a relatively flat bottom. The ring is completely wrapped in silver wire, featuring different patterns of weaving. For instance, the ring has an interesting weave pattern between three strands of wire (pic7) that is different than the weaves seen in pic1 of the stone. This ring looks beautiful on, accented with colourful glimpses of labradorescence.

Coiled Bangle

I do not make many bracelets, but these cute dyed jade rondelles that I saw at Arton Beads convinced me otherwise. Hand-wrapped with silver beads and Bali spacers, it is finished with a large lobster clasp (I loathe the small ones) and an extension chain with wrapped drops of freshwater pearls and crystal bicones. I love the way this turned out; I think I will start making more bracelet!

Paisley Craze

Paisley Paisley Paisley!!! The world is a better place because of the existence of paisley. It is a neutral, in any colour combination, for serious. If I could, I would like to wear paisley everyday or at least sleep in it. Of course it would come easy to me the idea of a paisley pendant when I saw this geode in a wonderful shop on Queen St. called Geologic Gifts From the Earth across the street from Steve's music store. This geode I thought was quite unusual because has a tear drop shape but it was curved at its point. Instantly, I thought of paisley and how no one can make fun of paisley-everyday-in-the-form-of-a-necklace. The natural colours of the geode was perfect for paisley, but I jazzed it up by wrapping a lilac cubic zirconia briolette (pic2). The bottom of the paisley pendant wire frame was made with coiled wire best seen in pic3, adds the scalloped edge of paisley in a more refined way. I left two bails on either end of the pendant for double stranded chains or just a cord, I have not decided yet. This is to my friend Faith who understands me when I say long live paisley!~SOLD~

Quartzey

I made this out of a chunky slab of quartz. I wanted to keep it simple and not too cluttered with trinkets and the like. Wrapped in a swirl of silver wire, the wire was weaved with pacific opal and amethyst Swarovski bicones and silver beads. I am very happy with the way this turned out as I have not done many pieces with raw, uncut, unpolished stones.

Oldies but Goodies

Here is a collection of my past work, made when I was in high school and still loved to this day.  

This pair is a stunning combination of lime green turquoise and AB Swarovski crystals. The cluster of amethyst crystals compliment the sleek bright green turquoise drops. Finished with silver lever backs. 

Adorable drops in amethyst and olivine Swarovski crystal. These have a special design that I love making; the circle of olivine crystals prop over the round amethyst crystal creates a very interesting design. Finished with Bali spacers, silver beads, and silver lever backs.

I wrapped this one in Swarovski bicone crystals with tear drops. My all time favourite colour combination is green and purple, it is no surprise that a lot of my pieces feature the colour couple.

These are pretty chandelier earrings, Swarovski crystals and silver findings. The crystals are closely held horizontally together by chains for a denser look.

A pendant that has the same pattern as the olivine/amethyst earrings. This pendant feature a blue/green coloured Swarovski crystals and spherical stone. I kept this pendant on a long piece of chain so it can be slid over the head without having to undo clasps. 

I made the chain of this necklace with purple-hued crystals instead of having a plain chain. 

It is no surprise that this design is a fave; this time, rainbow coloured Swarovski crystals makes a canopy on a opalized glass bead. The result is amusing as the opalite picks up the colours of the crystals.

Geode Pendant

My obsession with working with geodes grew rapidly, they are so fun to wrap and no two are ever alike. This particular geode half is special because of its two locales of crystals; the neutral colour of the geode goes with any outfit indeed. The geode itself is about 2" long, definitely hard to miss when worn. Wrapped with silver beads ended in a swirl of silver wire, this pendant is no stranger to compliments and adoration. ~SOLD~
